Pandemic ini berdampak pada berbagai bidang kehidupan, termasuk di bidang pendidikan, antara lain hambatan dalam menentukan metode pembelajaran yang tepat, hambatan komunikasi antara orang tua dan guru, dan hambatan pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran (Agustin et al., 2021). Akibatnya, kebijakan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia telah diberlakukan pada tahun 2020 Nomor 3 dan Surat Edaran Tahun 2020 Nomor 4. Kebijakan ini disebut kebijakan pembelajaran jarak jauh jaringan (online) atau kebijakan pem-belajaran online.
