A Unique Experience' is a collection poems based on the Japanese short forms of poetry genre : Haiku, Senryu and Tanka. The themes in these short poems are wide- ranging : Nature, human psychology, spiritualism and hidden secrets of life. What is wonderful about these seventeen syllabic Haiku and Senryu written in three unrhymed lines and thirty one syllabic Tanka written in five unrhymed lines is that inspite of their brevity , they are capable of expressing varied themes in the most precise manner. The characteristic open- endedness of the poems has the potential to trigger the imagination of readers . Once the readers read these poems, they will certainly enjoy them and the hidden poet in them may wield the pen to unleash their creative genius. The poet has an earnest longing to see this genre included in the school and college syllabi all over the world.
