This book serves the larger community of plant researchers working on the taxonomy, species delimitation, phylogeny, and biogeography of pseudo-cereals, with a special emphasis on amaranths. It also provides extensive information on the nutritive value of underutilized pseudo-cereals, the goal being to broaden the vegetable list. Amaranthus is a cosmopolitan genus of annual or short-lived perennial plants. Most of the species are summer annual weeds and are commonly referred to as pigweed. Innovation in Urban and Regional Planning
This book is the second Volume of the INPUT2020 Conference Proceedings on ‘Innovation in Urban and Regional Planning’. The 11th International Conference INPUT was held at the University of Catania (Italy) on September 8-10th 2021 and allowed gathering international scholars in the fields of planning, civil engineering and architecture, ecology and social science, to strengthen the knowledge on nature-based solutions and to enhance the implementation and replication of these solutions in different contexts. INPUT2020 Conference stressed the basic idea that using components that mimic natural processes in the built environment can generate a wide number of benefits in cities, and produced more equal, safe and livable urban environment. Una storia dei 100 anni dell’Ateneo, calata nella lunga durata dell’alta formazione in città, dalle origini medievali e proto-moderne, alla sua progressiva istituzionalizzazione, alla vigilia dell’Unità e quindi nel periodo di Firenze capitale, sino alla nascita della Università degli Studi, il primo ottobre del 1924. Since 1981, hundreds of botanists around the globe have been studying names, specimens and illustrations in order to identify type specimens so that all Linnaeus’ plant names can be applied clearly and consistently worldwide. This book is the culmination of more than twenty-five years research. It provides a comprehensive catalogue, listing each Linnaean name, and also contains detailed accounts both of Linnaeus’ publications and those of other botanists that contributed to his understanding of plants. This landmark work will be published to mark the tercentenary of Linnaeus’ birth in May 2007.
