Artificial intelligence (AI) serves as a transformative force in bridging global divides within transnational higher education by reimagining access and engagement across diverse cultural landscapes. By harnessing AI’s capabilities to analyze and adapt educational content, institutions can create inclusive learning environments that resonate with students’ unique cultural and contextual realities. In this way, AI not only enhances the quality of education but also cultivates a global academic ecosystem characterized by shared understanding and mutual growth. Bridging Global Divides for Transnational Higher Education in the AI Era examines the transformative role of AI in reshaping education across borders. It presents insights from leading academicians and practitioners who explore AI’s potential to enhance educational methodologies, address administrative challenges, and promote inclusivity within transnational higher education. Covering topics such as augmented reality (AR), financial stress, and task-based learning, this book is an excellent resource for educators, policymakers, administrators, researchers, academicians, and more.

It is a widely accepted fact that human resources play a crucial role in the development of nations. Those countries which have developed their people by investing in sectors such as education, health, and science and technology, have achieved considerable success.Whenever they face a resource crunch, most developing nations tend to make human resource development(HRD) choices haphazardly rather than in continuous and planned manner, especially in terms of identifying human resources sectors and target groups, and in choosing appropriate processes.

DNA-Protein Interactions

Our understanding of the mechanisms regulating gene expression, which determine the patterns of growth and development in all living organisms, ultimately involves the elucidation of the detailed and dy namic interactions of proteins with nucleic acids -both DNA and RNA. Until recently the commonly presented view of the DNA double helix as visualized on the covers of many textbooks and journals - was as a monotonous static straight rod incapable in its own right of directing the processes necessary for the conservation and selective reading of genetic information. This view, although perhaps extreme, was reinforced by the necessary linearity of genetic maps. The reality is that the biological functions of both DNA and RNA are dependent on complex, and sometimes transient, three-dimensional nucleoprotein structures in which genetically distant elements are brought into close spatial proximity. It is in such structures that the enzymatic manipulation of DNA in the essential biological processes as DNA replication, transcription and recombination are effected - the complexes are the mediators of the 'DNA transactions' of Hatch Echols.

The countries of East and Southeast Asia and the Western Pacific together enrol 50 million tertiary students, compared to 14 million in 1991, and will soon conduct a third of all research and development. In China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Singapore, ‘world-class’ universities are emerging at breakneck pace, fostered...
