Terdapat beberapa proksi yang digunakan oleh peneliti dalam mengukur koneksi politik baik perusahaan maupun manajer. Buku ini akan membahas topik koneksi politik dan beberapa proksi yang digunakan dalam beberapa penelitian. Pertama-tama, buku ini akan mengulas secara mendalam beberapa aspek koneksi politik seperti sejarah, perkembangan koneksi politik, koneksi politik dalam bisnis, serta manfaat dan biaya dari koneksi politik itu sendiri. Setelah itu, buku ini akan mengulas beberapa penelitian terdahulu yang mengangkat isu koneksi politik serta membahas mengenai proksi yang digunakan. Artikel yang dipilih untuk diulas dalam buku ini terdiri atas dua puluh artikel yang masuk dalam ABDC journal rangking dengan kategori A dan A* (abdc.edu.au).
