Teknoloji ve bilim sayesinde sağlık alanı hızla gelişmiş ve insanlığın ortalama yaşam ömrü günümüzde en üst seviyesine yükselmiştir. “Sağlık Bilimleri Alanında Uluslararası Araştırmalar II” adlı bu kitap ile sağlık alanına ilişkin bilimsel çalışmalar bir araya getirilmeye devam edilmektedir. Kitapta temel ve tıp bilimleri temalı 26 bölüm yer almaktadır. Bu kitap sağlık bilimlerinde meydana gelen gelişmeler ışığında, ilgili alana hizmet veren profesyonellerin farklı alanlarda yaptığı, güncel akademik çalışmaları içermektedir. Oluşturulan bu kitabın amacı, çalışmalardan elde edilen sonuçları bilim camiasına ve okuyuculara aktararak gelecekte yapılacak bilimsel çalışmalara yol göstermek, koruyucu sağlık hizmetlerinin gelişimine dikkat çekmek ve bu konuda yeni çalışmaların ortaya çıkarılmasını sağlamaktır.
Current Debates in Finance & Econometrics
As the outcome of the seventh international congress, the papers in this volume cover a wide range of topics related to the main theme of the conference, titled “Current Debates in Social Sciences”, and basically focus on finance and econometrics. Even though most of the papers deal with the empirical analysis on finance, there are also studies on econometrics analysis. In this context, the articles in the book draw attention to the different aspects of finance and econometrics such as outlined banking sector studies, capital market analysis and case studies, the impact of the use of social media for financial purposes on financial literacy, discussion of the performance evaluation of Type A mutual funds in Turkey. The U-shape hypothesis validity in Turkey, validity of the hypothesis of unemployment hysteria in selected OECD countries. We believe that these studies would contribute to the development of debates in social sciences and encourage interdisciplinary approaches.

Post-Ottoman Coexistence
In Southeast Europe, the Balkans, and Middle East, scholars often refer to the “peaceful coexistence” of various religious and ethnic groups under the Ottoman Empire before ethnonationalist conflicts dissolved that shared space and created legacies of division. Post-Ottoman Coexistence interrogates ways of living together and asks what practices enabled centuries of cooperation and sharing, as well as how and when such sharing was disrupted. Contributors discuss both historical and contemporary practices of coexistence within the context of ethno-national conflict and its aftermath.

Toward a Political Economy of the Commons
Since Garrett Hardin published The Tragedy of the Commons in 1968, critics have argued that population growth and capitalism contribute to overuse of natural resources and degradation of the global environment. They propose coercive, state-centric solutions. This book offers an alternative view.
