Possui 4 capítulos, sendo o primeiro "Qual é a graça?", em que é discutido a aprendizagem da linguagem do desenho de humor, sobre os elementos gráficos dos quadrinhos na prática do desenho, desenhos com os recursos formais do humor e, por fim, exemplos de caricaturas com as características do exagero e das distorções.
