Transactions from the BAA conference in 1993 which was held in Utrecht to celebrate the societies 150th anniversary. These papers present the latest research on the cities monuments from the arrival of Willibrord and Boniface and the establishment of the Bishopric. Twenty-seven papers, all in English cover the early history of the city, a comparison with England at the time and essays on St. Martin's, Wilibrord's cathedral, and the cross of churches. Other essays look at 12th century sculptural iconography, manuscript production, fonts, secular architecture, the Gothic cathedral and its history up to the reformation.

Der dritte Band zur Schwefer Geschichte beschreibt die Entwicklung der Schwefer Hofstellen vom 16. bis zum frühen 19. Jahrhundert. Dabei werden nicht nur die Familien vieler Hofstellen rekonstruiert, sondern vor allem auch der Aufbau der Höfe, die zum Kolonat gehörigen Morgen Ackerland und die Hierarchie der Schwefer Bauern und Kötter beschrieben. Auf der Grundlage von in Archiven erhaltener Pachtbriefe des 17. und 18. Jahrhunderts kann beobachtet werden, dass das Verhältnis zwischen Bauern und Kloster bei den immensen Abgaben an die Grundherrschaft immer wieder von Streit und Konflikten geprägt war. Neben einer Beschreibung von Diebstählen im Dorf und der Auswirkungen der Hexenverfolgung im Kirchspiel, wird auch auf die kurze französische Herrschaft Napoleons über Westfalen eingegangen. Die Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts erfolgte Auflösung des Klosters und Stifts Paradiese gleicht einer Zäsur für die Kirche und die ausgeprägte klösterliche Grundherrschaft in der Börde.
