The Neglected Great Commission

Evangelism is heavily associated with announcing and proclaiming the gospel. Both Western evangelical and Eastern Orthodox Christians have—for the most part—favored this view of evangelism. In The Neglected Great Commission, author Rev. Dr. Gabriel O. Akinbode describes what evangelism means and further discusses the Great Commission that Jesus Christ gave to his disciples, to go into the world and make disciples of all nations. Strengthening the faith of Christians, Akinbode offers a host of information on spiritual awakening. He: • traces a brief history of the commission from the beginning and how it was passed from generation to generation; • identifies the essentials of evangeli...

The legitimacy of any national health system depends on how it serves the interest of the poorest and most vulnerable people. As such, a commitment to equity should be at the heart of human rights discussions regarding universal health coverage. Human Rights, Public Values, and Leadership in Healthcare Policy is an essential reference source on the importance of access to timely, quality, and affordable healthcare, and how overt or implicit discrimination in the delivery of health services violates fundamental human rights and can have serious health consequences. This publication covers current health-policy debates and reforms that focus on extending universal health coverage, decreasing the growth of costs through improved efficiency, and expanding prevention and wellness of programs. While highlighting topics such as authority hierarchy, HIV/AIDS experiences, and veterans' mental health, this publication is ideally designed for health practitioners/professionals, scholars, researchers, institutions, students, consultants, and policymakers.

Food and Potential Industrial Applications of Bambara Groundnut

Bambara groundnut (Vigna subterranea) is a crop native to the Bambara tribe of Mali and is grown as a subsistence crop in Africa. Recent advances in research, however, have brought the crop to the forefront of the sustainable agriculture movement. The Bambara plant is highly drought tolerant and rich in protein and carbohydrates, including starch. These macromolecules have enormous industrial potentials. For example, the starch in Bambara grain has been found to exhibit higher (double) viscosity than conventional corn starch. Modified Bambara groundnut starch has been used to produce edible bioplastics that could be upgraded industrially to suit the fourth industrial revolution shift. Bambar...

Universities are expected to produce employable graduates. In Education for Employability, experts explore critical questions in the employability agenda: Who sets the standards and expectations of employability? How do students monitor their own employability? How can universities design whole curricula and university environments that promote employability? What teaching and learning strategies facilitate the development of employability? Responsibility for developing and sustaining employability lies with a broad coalition of the individual students, the university, alumni, the professions and industry and is accomplished through the intended curriculum as well as co-curricular, extra-curricular and supra-curricular activities, events and learning opportunities.
