Las últimas décadas han evidenciado no solamente un creciente interés acerca de todo lo concerniente a la vejez y a los viejos, sino acerca de las diversas perspectivas desde las cuales se ha abordado el envejecimiento, tan diversas como las múltiples facetas que componen este proceso.
