A Série Universitária foi desenvolvida pelo Senac São Paulo com o intuito de preparar profissionais para o mercado de trabalho. Os títulos abrangem diversas áreas, abordando desde conhecimentos teóricos e práticos adequados às exigências profissionais até a formação ética e sólida. História da arte apresenta um panorama da história da arte desde as primeiras manifestações na Pré-história até as expressões da Idade Contemporânea, passando por diferentes territórios, contextos, materialidades e características estéticas. Entre os temas discutidos estão a arte na pré-história e na antiguidade, obras na Idade Média, as principais correntes artísticas durante a Idade Moderna, a arte sob uma perspectiva decolonial, arte brasileira, manifestações artísticas africanas e asiáticas e poéticas visuais pautadas pelo feminismo e pela arte queer.
