BPSK sebagai lembaga penyelesaian sengketa konsumen memiliki tahapan dalam menyelesaikan sengketa, mulai dari tahap pengaduan hingga persidangan. BPSK memberikan putusan sengketa konsumen yang bersifat final dan mengikat. Namun, dalam kondisi tertentu, putusan BPSK dapat diajukan upaya hukum keberatan pada pengadilan negeri setempat.
