This study is devoted to the often questioned normative substance of Jaques Derrida`s deconstruction in light of recurrent accusations of moral relativism or outright nihilism. The author develops an account of deconstruction ethically oriented toward the other in contradistinction against the fundamental ontology of Martin Heidegger. The latter is shown to contain merely an ethical orientation toward the own self and is therefore judged to be blind for the ethical consequences of one`s own conduct for others. This volume, edited by Lucilla Guidi and Thomas Rentsch, establishes the first systematic connection between phenomenology and performativity. On the one hand, it outlines the performativity of phenomenology by exploring its enactment and the transformation of attitude it effects; this exploration is conducted through a number of parallels between phenomenology and the ancient understanding of philosophy as an exercise and a way of life. On the other hand, the volume examines different notions of performativity from a phenomenological perspective, so as to show that a phenomenological understanding of embodied experience complements a linguistic account of performativity and can also offer a ground for bodily practices of resistance, critique, and self-transformation in our own day and age.
The reflections on historical and contemporary positions assembled here shed light on concepts of temporalities in the context of artistic practices. In the 1960s and 1970s the pursuit for the situational, processual and actual stirred up artistic and theoretical fields. Nowadays, contemporary practices expand on these subjects by exploring the notion of anachronism, the impermanence of one’s own corporeality together with the performative and ephemeral qualities of the sonic amongst other relevant concepts. The goal of this publication is to offer a deep dive into situation-specific settings and to fundamentally explore how temporality is able to initiate action and structure our perception, thereby affecting our bodies, our senses, how we communicate and how the present moment is shaped.

Interdisciplinary educational turn The challenges of a complex and volatile world require solutions that reconcile divergent perspectives and interests. In schools, interdisciplinarity has been integrated within curricula for decades, yet it is rarely applied as a collaborative practice. Communication between different fields of research is not enough. Im Phänomen der In-Game-Fotografie wird bereits auf der Begriffsebene eine Schnittstelle signalisiert, nämlich die zwischen dem Computerspiel und der Fotografie. Die vorliegende Studie fokussiert den zweiten Teilbereich, indem sie im Kontext des Computerspiels dem Fotografie-Begriff die entscheidende Bedeutung beimisst. Den Ausgangspunkt der Reflexion bildet die Frage: Wie viel Fotografie beinhaltet die In-Game-Fotografie? Dabei wird dezidiert eine ikonische Perspektive eingenommen und diskutiert.
