James Daniels of West Lavington, Wiltshire, England is thr earliest known of the Daniels family. He married katurrah Timmons and they were the parents of Josiah Daniels (1786-1886) who married Hannah Carter. They were the parents of eleven children, one of whom was John Daniels (1832-1912). He married Elizabeth Compton and they joined the L.D.S. Church in 1852 and immigrated to Utah in 1872. They settled in Ogden. After the death of Elizabeth, John married Annie Boxall. He was the father of nine children. Descendants live throughout the United States.
