This edited volume draws upon work from a wide range of established and emerging international scholars to provide an interdisciplinary analysis of sport’s complex relationship with masculinity. With a particular focus on Latin America, it examines the changing relationship between a range of contemporary sport and sexuality and gender expression, as related to lesbian, gay and/or trans athletes. El libro dePsicología del Deporte y Ciencias Aplicadas compila el reflejo de la alta producción académica que está emanando en México e Iberoamérica, ya que en sus más de mil cuartillas denota el enfoque inter, multi y transdisciplinar. La convocatoria del libro nace en el marco del VIII Congreso de la Sociedad Iberoamericana de Psicología del Deporte y el VI Congreso Internacional de Psicología del Deporte; sin embargo, dada la pandemia por el COVID-19, se pospone el congreso al 2021, pero se concluye de forma satisfactoria el proceso editorial de este libro, desde el análisis del porcentaje de similitud mediante TURNITIN, la revisión a doble ciego por pares académicos, hasta la maquetación y acuerdo coeditorial para la publicación y distribución del libro a nivel nacional e internacional. En términos generales, el libro ofrece una amplia cobertura de temas que comprenden el comportamiento funcional, fisiológico, psicológico y social que incide en el deporte, actividad física, educación física y salud mental, en diversas etapas del desarrollo humano y diferentes esferas de aplicación.

La Revista de Psicología del Deporte publica trabajos de carácter científico que estén realizados con rigor metodológico y que supongan una contribución al progreso en el ámbito de la Psicología del Deporte. Se recogen trabajos de naturaleza teórica, experimental, empírica y profesional con preferencia para aquellos que presenten cuestiones actuales y de relevancia científica y discutan planteamientos polémicos. Por lo demás, la interdisciplinariedad en el campo de la actividad física y deportiva es un objetivo de la Revista. En este número 29-2 de SEPTIEMBRE de 2020 se recogen varios artículos de investigación relacionados con el campo de la Psicología del Deporte.

El sentido de la responsabilidad del alumnado implicado durante el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje puede aumentar considerablemente debido al desarrollo de valores que se llevan a cabo a través de actitudes políticamente activas. En diversos estudios se puede observar como el fomento de la inclusión social y ayuda a los demás, despierta pensamientos críticos y una actitud de rebeldía ante situaciones injustas o necesarias de mejora. Este tipo de aprendizajes son un ejemplo de aprendizajes significativos y del despertar de la conciencia social que el sistema educativo debe propiciar desde etapas tempranas.
