El libro busca entender que los procesos de transformación por los que hoy atraviesa la Amazonia colombiana, conducen a un deterioro acelerado de sus ecosistemas, nos permite comprender que la mayor amenaza de las especies, es la pérdida de sus hábitats.

Central nervous system (CNS) tumors represent about 20% of pediatric cancer cases worldwide and are the leading cause of cancer-related morbidity and mortality. In low- and middle-income countries, limited data suggests significant disparities in outcomes when compared to high-income countries. Nonetheless, this field is understudied and significant work needs to be done to further elucidate the epidemiology, clinical characteristics, and outcomes of this vulnerable population. "Trained as a sculptor, Japanese artist Tokihiro Sato first turned to photography as a means of documenting his work. It is through his photographs, however, that the artist has found a way to successfully blend process and product.
