A inovação tem sido discutida em diferentes níveis de análise e perspectivas teóricas, conduzindo muitas vezes à confusão entre vocábulos e à fragmentação teórica, o que dificulta estabelecer conexões válidas e sustentadas no desenvolvimento de aplicações práticas. Por outro lado, a prática, muitas vezes, carece de reflexão crítica e sistemática sobre os vínculos entre causas, condições e efeitos que levam à inovação. Essa exige uma intenção, e um conjunto de reflexões sobre o seu gerenciamento e aos fins a que se destinam. A inovação caminha junto com aprendizagem e a transferência de conhecimentos. Entretanto, esse entrelaçamento tem sido ofuscado por um emaranhado conceitual que não distingue vertentes teóricas e o objeto sob análise. Os capítulos deste livro buscam esclarecer essas relações, distinguir o vocabulário conceitual e desenvolver esquemas analíticos que subsidiem o caminhar acadêmico e fundamente à prática da gestão.
Language Policies in Higher Education
Higher education institutions (HEIs) are increasingly affected by globalization and internationalization, with implications for language use, teaching and learning in their academic communities. As a consequence, HEIs may change their approach to multilingualism on campus, taking into account language needs as well as opportunities and challenges associated with language diversity. The book aims at discussing aspects for the design of language policies, which could support internationalization and promote multilingualism and participation of different stakeholders.
