Krúdyt az északkeleti Felvidékhez, benne a mai Kárpátaljához szenvedélyes vonzalom kötötte. A baráti kapcsolatok, a természetes gazdasági, a megyékhez kapcsolódó politikai összefüggések csak alapját képezték ennek az elkötelezett szimpátiának. A valódi választ Krúdy még fiatal, nyíregyházi íróként adta meg zempléni újságíró barátjának, Zomboroy Andornak: "Rákóczi íródeákja vagyok". Krúdy Gyula szinte életének minden egyes szakaszában találkozott a ruszinokkal, vallásukkal, hitvilágukkal, a meglátta a külsőségek között ennek a vallási-etnikai közösségnek a sorsát, kiszolgáltatottságát az anyagi és politikai erőknek. Food Wastage Footprint Full-cost Accounting
Approximately one-third of all food produced for human consumption is lost or wasted. The economic costs of this food wastage are substantial and amount to about USD 1 trillion each year. However, the hidden costs of food wastage extend much further. Food that is produced, but never consumed, still causes environmental impacts to the atmosphere, water, land and biodiversity. These environmental costs must be paid by society and future generations. Furthermore, by contributing to environmental degradation and increasing the scarcity of natural resources, food wastage is associated with wider social costs that affect people's well-being and livelihoods. Food Chain Security
The pilot study on Food Chain Security was launched in 2003 by NATO Public Diplomacy Division Science for Peace and Security Section (SPS) under the leadership of Turkey. The purpose of the study was to study the safety and security of food stuffs in the face of their careless/ignorant handling as well as against expected terrorist attacks at the system which may destroy and/or degrade it at the source during distribution, processing and in the consumption phase.
