John August Peterson, son of Peter Gustaf Johansson and Maria Johansdotter, was born 16 Mar 1869 in Lado, Nobbele, Kronoberg, Sweden. He immigrated to the United States in 1888, settling in Minnesota. He married Nanny Elizabeth Erickson, daughter of Gustaf Erickson and Johanna Johansdotter, on 15 Oct 1908 in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. They had 3 children. John died on 7 Sep 1948 in Glenwood, Pope, Minnesota. Nanny died on 25 Dec 1964, also in Glenwood. Their descendants have lived in Minnesota. Their ancestors are from Sweden.
