A Good Day

This moving gift book truly stirs gratitude for the blessing of life and the everyday wonder and beauty of nature. It was inspired by the short film Gratitude, a viral video sensation by acclaimed filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg recently featured on Oprahs Super Soul Sunday. The book and film pair one of todays most uplifting poems—the Internet phenomenon “A Good Day,” written by revered spiritual leader Brother David Steindl-Rast—with stunning images by Schwartzberg. Perfect for graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays—or just as a gift for someone you love—this inspirational package includes not just the book but a DVD with two short films by Schwartzberg (including Gratitude) and Brother Davids own A Good Day video. The last page has a link to the “A Good Day” audio track, which you can use to create your own video or slide show on what you are grateful for.

The Sublimity of Document

"The Sublimity of Document: Cinema as Diorama is a collection of in-depth, substantive interviews with filmmakers devoted to documenting places and events that most of us never get to see--often, places and events that have considerable influence on our lives. The 27 interviews offer an engaging panorama of the recent history and geography of cinema devoted to documenting the world around us, as well as an in-depth look at the challenges and accomplishments of filmmakers willing to go anywhere on the planet (or on the internet!) to document what they believe we need to see"--

A Year of Bliss

Includes spells, rituals, and a even a few lessons in the magical arts. These are the compiled spiritual writings from Maggie Shayne’s Bliss Blog and its related social media sites from the year 2020. This volume stands out among the growing collection of Bliss annuals because 2020 was a year like no other. Its honest and straightforward essays were created during the good times and bad, the ups and the downs, the triumphs and the challenges of this roller coaster year. Thought leaders and spiritual teachers struggled to stay aligned at times during the year from hell, just like everybody else. Such times are included in these pages. But in every case, the challenge is worked through and mined for gems of wisdom. In every case, zen is restored, and each step of the process is recorded, just in case it might help someone else through a dark time in the future. Come along for the ride of a lifetime. And maybe re-set your own peace of mind in the process. Bliss Blog: where natural magic meets law of attraction.

Fifteen people, spanning an age-range of more than 20 years, from entirely different backgrounds and more than seven countries, were all brought to the 16th International Wilderness Guide course in Kuru, Finland, because of a common passion. This collection reflects some thoughts and attitudes of our group and our teachers. The titles of the chapters were given by each of the participants, and the content of this book consists of fragments from short interviews with the students and teachers. The content is presented anonymously and each chapter contains a mixture of everyone's answers. I like to think of this as an anthology, in a very literal sense: each of the statements made here has been nurtured and nourished by each person's experiences, and has grown, like a flower, until the moment of the interview. All I did was collect those thoughts and ideas and dry them between the pages of this book. NOTE: The price reflects solely the printing costs and this book is sold for no profit to the authors.
