La conversa, a més d'un bon espai de comunicació, implica un enorme potencial d'ensenyament i aprenentatge. En la conversa, intercanviem informació, expliquem, demanem explicacions, expressem dubtes i ens mirem un tema des de diferents punts de vista. En el context escolar, aquest espai ajuda a construir coneixement i, per descomptat, llenguatge. El diàleg que flueix amb naturalitat entre els participants contribueix a convertir l'experiència en aprenentatge. D'altra banda, l'argument de l'aprenentatge de la llengua a través de la pràctica, troba en la conversa un excel·lent mitjà per a un ús funcional i comunicatiu de la llengua. Els autors i autores d'aquest llibre, volen animar el lector a generalitzar la conversa entre les pràctiques docents habituals; no des d'un plantejament teòric, sinó a partir d'una experiència de la qual han recollit resultats positius.

Nearly two decades into the new millennium, Latin American documentary film is experiencing renewed vibrancy and visibility on the global stage. While elements of the combative, politicized cinema of the 1960s and 1970s remain, the region’s production has become increasingly subjective, reflexive, and experimental, though perhaps no less political. At the same time, Latin American filmmakers both respond to and shape global tendencies in the genre. This book highlights the richness and heterogeneity of Latin American documentary film, surveys a broad range of national contexts, styles, and practices, and expands current debates on the genre. Thematic sections address the “subjective turn” of the 1990s and 2000s and the move beyond it; the ethics of the encounter between the filmmaker and the subject/object of his or her gaze; and the performance of truth and memory, a particularly urgent topic as Latin American countries have transitioned from dictatorship to democracy.
This is a picture story about the Spanish Civil War for both children and adults. It tells the true story of great-grandfather Ramón. He got caught up in the civil war when he was doing his military service, at the age of 22. He was sent to the Aragon front, the Battle of Teruel and the Battle of the Ebro, practically the whole war. Afterwards he hid out in Castelltallat Mountains. Finally, he was locked up for six months in Manresa prison. He learnt all about the evil and suffering that war bring. It is told from the perspective of a father who explains it to his son. A father who never knew his grandfather Ramón, who died in 1954, at the age of 41. At the same age as when the father began to write his story about his grandfather, so that his children would never forget it.
