Johnny’S Journey
Since John Johnny Johnsons early childhood, he was plagued by an inner force that was determined to be rebellious. Although he was loved and nurtured by his parents and loved by his siblings and other family members, he could not bring himself to be obedient, not even to his own conscience. His teen years began the era of alcohol indulgence and petty larceny. He decided that a life without rules was what he wanted, so he ran away from home. Soon his life became more complicated. He was arrested and sent to a reform school for boys. A life of crime resulted in several arrests and convictions. His family was still there for him. After being paroled from his last incarceration, his siblings helped him to start a business, which included counseling for teens and anyone else that was seeking help to better their lives. In the process of shaping his life as well as others, he met his wife, JaNae, and they started a family. What seemed like a doomed life had become a productive and prosperous one.

The Lloyd’s Register of Yachts was first issued in 1878, and was issued annually until 1980, except during the years 1916-18 and 1940-46. Two supplements containing additions and corrections were also issued annually. The Register contains the names, details and characters of Yachts classed by the Society, together with the particulars of other Yachts which are considered to be of interest, illustrates plates of the Flags of Yacht and Sailing Clubs, together with a List of Club Officers, an illustrated List of the Distinguishing Flags of Yachtsmen, a List of the Names and Addresses of Yacht Owners, and much other information. Society, Politics and Economics in Mazandaran, Iran 1848-1914
This book is the first major study of provincial history in the Qajar period. Drawing extensively on unpublished Iranian and British documents, it explores the history of Mazandaran, a province in the Caspian region, during 1848-1914, when the province as a part of Iran was exposed to the policies of rival great powers, particularly Tzarist Russia. While showing socio-economic characteristics of Mazandaran and its potential for development, the book examines in detail the transformation of the traditional provincial community and economy in the course of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Pan-Islamism
This important study examines the Indo-Muslim attitude towards the Ottomans from the start of the Russo-Turkish war in 1877 until the end of the Caliphate in 1924. The period treated coincides with what is commonly described as the Pan-Islamic Movement; the British reaction to the Pan-Islamic developments is also discussed extensively. No comprehensive study to date has dealt with the nature of the relations between the Ottomans and other Muslims, and therefore this work provides new historical, religious and political perspectives on the modern history of Indian Muslims. In addition to Indian, Pakistani, Ottoman and British archival material, publications such as diaries, memoirs, newspapers and books have been incorporated, including writings in Urdu which are generally inaccessible to most historians studying late nineteenth-century Ottoman history.
