Entanglements: Envisioning World Literature from the Global South scrutinizes current debates to bring historical and contemporary South-South entanglements to the fore and to develop a new understanding of world literature in a multipolar world of globalized modernity. The volume challenges established ideas of world literature by rethinking the concept along the notion of “entanglements”: as a field of variously criss-crossing relations of literary activity beyond the confines of literary canons, cultural containers, or national borders. The collection presents individual case studies from a variety of language traditions that focus on particular literary relationships and practices across Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe as well as new fictional, poetical, and theoretical conceptions of world literature in order to broaden our understanding of the multilateral entanglements within a widening communicative network that shape our globalized world.

Case Report: Hepatic Adenoma in a Child with a Congenital Extrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt
Abstract: Congenital extrahepatic portosystemic shunts (CEPS), previously also described as Abernethy malformations, are rare malformations in which the extrahepatic portal system directly communicates with the vena cava inferior, thereby bypassing the liver. A hypoplastic portal vein (PV) exists in most cases. CEPS have been associated with the development of liver nodules, ranging from mostly focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH) to hepatic adenoma (HA) and even hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Tumor development in CEPS may be due to changes in perfusion pressures, oxygen supply or endocrine imbalances. It is important to rule out CEPS in children with liver tumors, because resection could impede future shunt occlusion procedures, and benign masses may regress after shunt occlusion. Here, we review the case of a 9-years-old male with CEPS and hepatic nuclear Factor 1-alpha (HNF-1-alpha) inactivated HA to raise awareness of this condition and review histopathological changes in the liver of CEPS

Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht den Einfluss von Maßnahmen der Städtebauförderung auf die Entwicklung der Angebotsmiete für Wohnungen unter Betrachtung des Einflusses externer Effekte. Als Beispiel dient das entlassene soziale Erhaltungsgebiet in Berlin-Moabit. Das Ziel der Arbeit ist die Beantwortung von drei grundlegenden Forschungsfragen: Erstens, wie entwickelt sich die angebotene Nettokaltmiete im Stephankiez nach Entlassung als soziales Erhaltungsgebiet?
