Electrospray is a new soft ionization technique that is able to produce large and fragile ions without fragmentation and with high sensitivity for mass spectrometric analysis. In this study various features of Mass Spectrometry with an Electrospray source have been investigated including effects extensive multiple charging of large molecules. A parametric study of electrospray mass spectrometry revealed the dependency of total as well as mass-selected ion currents on key experimental parameters. In particular the ion currents were shown to be approximately independent of liquid flow rate and to vary linearly with analyte concentration over a certain range. The ion yield as a function of anal...

Ramsey Theory

This book explores the theory’s history, recent developments, and some promising future directions through invited surveys written by prominent researchers in the field. The first three surveys provide historical background on the subject; the last three address Euclidean Ramsey theory and related coloring problems. In addition, open problems posed throughout the volume and in the concluding open problem chapter will appeal to graduate students and mathematicians alike.
