Human Interaction, Emerging Technologies and Future Applications IV
This book reports on research and developments in human-technology interaction. A special emphasis is given to human-computer interaction, and its implementation for a wide range of purposes such as healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, and education, among others. The human aspects are analyzed in detail. Innovative studies related to human-centered design, wearable technologies, augmented, virtual and mixed reality simulation, as well as developments and applications of machine learning and AI for different purposes, represent the core of the book. Emerging issues in business, security, and infrastructure are also critically examined, thus offering a timely, scientifically-grounded, but also professionally-oriented snapshot of the current state of the field. The book is based on contributions presented at the 4th International Conference on Human Interaction and Emerging Technologies: Future Applications, IHIET-AI 2021, held on April 28-30, 2021, in Strasbourg, France. It offers a timely survey and a practice-oriented reference guide to researchers and professionals dealing with design and/or management of the new generation of service systems.

English summary: This dissertation discusses an opera of the contemporary Austrian-American composer Dr. Nancy Van de Vate, a little known adaption of Erich Maria Remarque's novel "Im Westen nichts Neues" (published in English under the title "All Quiet on the Western Front"). The production which premiered in Osnabruck, Germany in September 2003 was well received by the national press. Erich Maria Remarque, Im Westen nichts Neues und die Folgen
Erich Maria Remarque's anti-war novel All Quiet on the Western Front and the repercussions of its first publication in 1928 are a subject of major interest – especially in the year 2014, the centenary year of the outbreak of World War One. This volume therefore includes contributions on the translations of the text into Russian (whereby the first book edition of All Quiet on the Western Front in 1928 was already a Russian translation), an analysis of the changes that the protagonist, Paul Bäumer, undergoes, the influence of the text on other authors such as the Slovenian author Prežihov Voranc, and artistic interpretations such as a radio play by Jan Decker. In addition, the volume contains the first study of Remarque's relationship with the psycho-analyst Karen Horney. It is rounded off with a detailed documentation of new Remarque editions.

In advance of the exhibition in Kassel, documenta 12 magazines have opened up a central site for reflection and visual contemplation. Since early 2006, influential journals in the realm of art, as well as specialist publications operating in discursive fields beyond the major art centres, have been publishing and discussing contributions essays, interviews, photo reportages, features, interventions from artists and articles of fiction in relation to documenta 12's three main themes: Is modernity our antiquity? What is bare life? What is to be done? This Book is a compilation of all three magazines.

Der Kapazitätsmarkt in Großbritannien und die Kapazitätsreserve in Deutschland
Versorgungssicherheit im Stromnetz Zur Gewährleistung der Versorgungssicherheit auf dem Strommarkt sind in vielen EU-Mitgliedstaaten Kapazitätsmechanismen eingeführt worden, um dem sog. Missing-Money-Problem zu begegnen und Investitionen in neue Kraftwerkskapazitäten anzureizen. Da die Kapazitätsmechanismen je nach Ausgestaltung ein großes Marktverzerrungspotenzial aufweisen, hatte die EU mit den »Leitlinien für staatliche Umweltschutz- und Energiebeihilfen 2014–2020« frühzeitig klare Vorgaben für diese aufgestellt. Kapazitätsmarkt und Kapazitätsreserve In Großbritannien wurde mit dem Energy Act 2013 die Electricity Market Reform umgesetzt und der Kapazitätsmarkt eingeführt. Drei Jahre später wurde in Deutschland mit dem Strommarktgesetz die Kapazitätsreserve eingeführt.
