Previously published as a special issue of The Bulletin of Spanish Studies, The Eighteenth-Century Theatre in Spain is the second in a series of research bibliographies on the Theatre in Spain. Representing ten years of searches and compilation by its specialist authors, this volume draws together data on more than 1,500 books, articles and documents concerned with Spanish eighteenth-century theatre. Studies of plays and playwrights are included as well as material dealing with theatres, actors and stagecraft. Wherever possible, items listed have been personally examined, and their library location in Britain, Spain or USA is provided. The world in a sea
The Mediterranean, both a sea and a theatre, has served throughout history as a fundamental crossroads for the political-religious dynamics and international tensions that characterize the various worlds, east and west, south and north, that meet in this basin. Starting from these premises, the present work examines - within a chronological span that goes from the conclusion of the Second World War to the end of Pius XII’s pontificate - the contribution offered by the Holy See and by Catholics from different national contexts in deciphering the role of the Mediterranean Sea within the wider global context. As such, it constitutes a reflection on this geographical space with its peculiar cultural, economic, political, and religious realities by highlighting the role played by the Mediterranean in the elaboration of visions and projects of civilization. This work is the fruit of a wider research programme called Occidentes - Horizons and projects of civilization in the Church of Pius XII. It brings together the work of seven historians from different European Universities.

The Multi(Inter)cultural School in Inclusive Societies
EU schools are today welcoming more and more pupils from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, becoming increasingly culturally composite. However, language problems and cultural misunderstandings have the potential to arise from diversity and different cultural and origin affiliations. Some problematic areas concerning both language and educational aspects have emerged with the integration of children from different backgrounds at school.
