Buku bertajuk Adat Perpatih Berpandukan Syarak: Amalan Di Negeri Sembilan dan Minangkabau ini mengandungi pelbagai tajuk berkaitan amalan adat Perpatih dalam pandangan syarak. Ia merupakan kumpulan kertas kerja yang dibentangkan di dalam Seminar Serantau adat Perpatih anjuran bersama fakulti syariah dan undang-undang, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) dan fakultas syariah Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Batusangkar. Kajian dalam buku ini adalah hasil daripada penyelidikan yang dijalankan oleh sekumpulan penyelidik yang cuba mengupas konsep kepatuhan syariah ke atas amalan-amalan di dalam Adat Perpatih yang diamalkan dan diyakini sehingga ke hari ini oleh masyarakat Malaysia, khasnya di Negeri Sembilan dan juga Minangkabau, Sumatra Barat. Huraian berkenaan amalan adat dan nilai-nilai murni Islam yang terkandung di dalam buku ini cuba menjelaskan beberapa kekeliruan di masyarakat berkaitan adat Perpatih. Penjelasan ini amat penting bagi masyarakat Malaysia secara umumnya, dan kepada masyarakat adat Perpatih di Negeri Sembilan dan Minangkabau khususnya, sebagai satu usaha untuk melestarikan amalan adat ini.
