As aventuras prosseguem na chegada ao destino, e são descritas as dificuldades encontradas num tempo em que tudo era muito simples, em pleno inverno, sem tecnologia, as adaptações e a evolução da família, até os dias em que o livro foi escrito pela filha mais jovem do casal Lermen. O relato tem passagens divertidas e também tristes, principalmente a ocorrência da morte dos pais, mas as alegrias e as aventuras vão com certeza surpreender o leitor, que não vai conseguir parar de ler, de se divertir e de se emocionar, porque todas as histórias merecem ser contadas, porque todas as vidas merecem ser lembradas, e o registro em livros é ainda a melhor maneira de perpetuar as lembranças individuais e torná-las doces memórias, principalmente quando elas andam de carona com a história.
