Buku ini dibuat oleh beberapa spesialis kulit dan kelamin/dermatovenereologist (Sp.KK/Sp.DV) yang ditujukan untuk masyarakat agar lebih memahami mengenai perawatan kulit (skincare). Skincare pada zaman sekarang ini telah menjadi sebuah kebutuhan yang wajib dipenuhi, khususnya bagi kaum wanita. Namun selama ini skincare banyak dianggap hanya sebagai perawatan yang terbatas pada wajah saja. Banyak dari masyarakat yang masih salah persepsi tentang penggunaan skincare. Buku ini disusun untuk depot memfasilitasi kebutuhan masyarakat akan informasi mengenai perawatan kulit. Buku ini tidak hanya membahas mengenai perawatan kulit wajah saja, tapi juga membahas perawatan dari rambut, kulit dan kuku. Aspek yang diunggulkan dalam buku ini adalah tulisan oleh dokter-dokter spesialis kulit dan kelamin/dermatovenereologist (Sp.KK/Sp.DV) dengan bahasa ringan untuk masyarakat yang berisi tentang susunan, fungsi umum dari kulit, rambut dan kuku, jenis-jenis kulit, masalah-masalah yang sering dialami oleh masyarakat seperti jerawat, skar bekas jerawat, flek hitam, mitos dan fakta yang beredar di masyarakat yang akan diluruskan dan dijelaskan lengkap di dalam buku.

Buku ini merupakan kumpulan dari extended abstract yang telah dipresentasikan pada simposium daring SUBDERMAL (Surabaya– Denpasar–Malang).
