Im Jahre 1986 ist der erste Band dieser Bibliographie erschienen.* Der zweite Band beinhaltet mit der generell selben Gliederungseinteilung ausschliesslich neue Titel insbesondere der Jahre 1986 bis ca. 1992. Dasselbe gilt fur den dritten Band betreffend die Jahre 1992-2005. Bisherige soziale, wirtschaftliche, staatliche, kulturelle und historisch begrundete Identitaten, Eigenbilder, Fremdbilder und Vertrautheiten werden in Ost-, Ostmittel- und Sudosteuropa nach dem Zusammenbruch der kommunistischen Systeme (1989/1991) zunehmend in Frage gestellt. Diese Problembereiche bilden in diesem Band einen Schwerpunkt. Anthropology as Memory
This essay is offered particularly as a contribution to the relationship between theological and literary writings on the Holocaust. Franz Baermann Steiner’s (1909–1952) detailed sociological work – he taught at the Department of Social Anthropology at Oxford and developed a sociology of danger that strongly influenced Mary Douglas, T. W. Adorno, Iris Murdoch, H.G. Adler and Julia Kristeva – contrasts with Canetti’s emphasis on shock. Laughter and Narrative in the Later Middle Ages
In contrast to the vernacular literary traditions of France, Italy and England, comic tales in verse flourished in late medieval Germany, providing bawdy entertainment for larger audiences of public recitals as well as for smaller numbers of individual readers. In a sustained close analysis Sebastian Coxon explores both the narrative design and fundamental thematic preoccupations of these short texts. A distinctively performative tradition of pre-modern narrative literature emerges which invited its recipients to think, learn and above all to laugh in a number of different ways.

Was kann Lernen bedeuten? Verschiedene lerntheoretische Ansätze vertreten eine „relationale Sichtweise“. Die ontologischen Prämissen bleiben jedoch implizit. Dadurch überlassendiese Ansätze ihre Konzeptionalisierungen des Menschen und von Sozialität einem intuitiven Hintergrundsverständnis. Die naheliegende Konzeptionalisierung des Menschen als einer „offenen Persönlichkeit“ oder als „homines aperti“ (N. Elias) und von Sozialität als dem Lernenden inhärente Sozialität oder „primäre Sozialität“ (H. Joas) bekommt hierdurch unzureichenden „ontologischen Halt“.

A first group of essays gives an overview of medieval cartography and illustrates the methods of cartographers. Another analyzes world maps and travel accounts in relation to mapped spaces. A third examines land surveying, cartographical practices of exploration, and the production of Portolan atlases.
