Fired

"Kill me", whispered Ronald Sam/John held the gun to Ronald's face. "Kill me",said Ronald,"What are you waiting for?" "Why did you do this?",asked Sam pointing at the ruins of the once beautiful city,"Why did you do this?!" Ronald licked his lips and said,"I knew I was the villian, the broken one. I knew no one would come to my grave to mourn me or leave me flowers or miss me! I knew I was the bad one! " He looked up at Sam and again said,"I knew I couldn't be forgiven. I know what I deserve" Sam , with tears in his eyes snarled ,"And what do you deserve?!" "I deserve to die. I deserve to be killed",said Ronald, with some final remorse in his voice and moisture his eyes. ********************...

Each Tribe, a God or Goddess

The Xexemewortor (Almighty God) appears to tribes or nations as a god or goddess. The revelation is in the form of an image and name to demand full reverence and obedience. But some tribes or nations chose other gods or goddesses to whom they gave full allegiance to the detriment of their own. They incurred the wrath of Xexemewortor who considered them disobedient and didn't answer them in their time of need. And to their shock, instead of peace, security and development, Xexemewortor caused them to experience anarchy, droughts, extreme poverty, hunger, hopelessness, violent crimes, diseases, natural disasters, and shorter life spans. The novel teaches that each nation or tribe must serve and worship its god or goddess in the form and by the name revealed to it by Xexemewortor for sustainable development as their non worship of their god amounts to disobedience of Xexemewortor.

Learning Across Borders

Universities everywhere are witnessing growing numbers of students in cross-border, international, and transnational spaces. This trend has resulted in many educators revising their curricula, pedagogical approaches, and assumptions about what it means to provide a university education in the 21st century. This edited collection contributes to a growing body of research in international and transnational education by looking back and looking forward at globalisation’s impact on higher education. The authors in this volume provide a solid base of theoretical knowledge and practical applications to readers in similar situations. With growing numbers of students and teachers moving – physically and virtually – across international borders, their expertise is needed. The collection contains authors from Germany, Ghana, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and the United States of America, and from varied disciplines such as education, English language teaching, higher education administration, indigenous studies, literature, mathematics, rhetoric and composition, and writing centre studies.
