Colombia en el contexto de la Alianza del Pacífico
Como respuesta a la globalización, desde la segunda mitad del siglo se impulsó la formación de bloques regionales entre diferentes países del mundo. Con este propósito, la Alianza del Pacífi co surgió en 2011 como una iniciativa de integración económica y desarrollo establecida entre Chile, Colombia, México y Perú. Este libro estudia el impacto de este acuerdo intrarregional sobre el desarrollo y la economía de Colombia en tres áreas principales: comercio exterior, inversión internacional y marco institucional. Para el análisis se abordan indicadores como la inserción en cadenas regionales y globales de valor, la inversión extranjera directa, la diversifi cación productiva y el desarrollo industrial y tecnológico desde un enfoque comparativo cronológico que permite examinar la situación socioeconómica de los países miembros. Sin duda, la información presentada contribuye a determinar el efecto de esta alianza en el escenario colombiano y el papel del país en el contexto regional del Pacífico.

The Europeanization of National Foreign Policies Towards Latin America
Who shapes the European Union's policy towards Latin America? How has this EU policy modified individual member states' relations with the region? This book provides a comparative account of seven member states' bilateral links with Latin America since 1945, in the context of their EU membership and based on the concept of 'Europeanization'. It illustrates how and why the main architects of this EU policy have been Spain and Germany. In contrast, Poland, Sweden and Ireland, which had little previous interaction with Latin America, have developed their current relations with that region virtually as a result of their EU membership.
