Polish Flows
The contributors attempt to describe Polish rivers and lakes as a nexus of narratives about nature culture, pointing out those elements of the story around which scientific, political, media, social and ecological narratives are created. All of them influence the shape of reflection on the water ecosystem and its function in Polish education. The authors recreate old and contemporary Polish mythmaking narratives about Polish rivers and lakes and, by proposing a critical reading of them, try to develop new educational practices that would take into account the 21st century conditions related to the climate catastrophe. The context related to the crisis also opens up thinking about rivers to other categories (cooperation, solidarity, activism) than those that have been applicable in Polish education so far (national symbolism, utility).

Die professionelle Identität von Pflegefachpersonen
Pflegefachpersonen finden sich heutzutage in einer Umbruchsituation wieder: Bildungsreformen, Akademisierungsbestrebungen und Veränderungen ihres Tätigkeitsbereichs beeinflussen ihre tägliche Arbeit. Welche Orientierungspunkte gibt es in dieser Umbruchsituation und welchen Einfluss haben sie auf das berufliche Selbstverständnis, vielmehr der professionellen Identität der Pflegefachpersonen? Bettina Flaiz geht diesen Fragen in einer multiperspektivischen Vorgehensweise nach. In theoretischer Hinsicht greift sie insbesondere das Habitus-Konzept Bourdieus auf. Im empirischen Teil nähert sie sich durch Interviews mit deutschen und australischen Pflegefachpersonen in Form eines Ländervergleichs der professionellen Identität an. Australische Pflegekräfte verfügen im Gegensatz zu deutschen seit Jahrzehnten über eine universitäre Ausbildung. Die Ergebnisse der Studie offenbaren zwei unterschiedliche Formen professioneller Identität, die von der Autorin nicht nur durch mögliche Ursachen erklärt, sondern kritisch und in ihrer Relevanz vor allem für die deutsche Pflege zur Diskussion gestellt werden.
