The same behavior could be observed before the Financial Crisis became reality. But each endless raising stock market would finally collapse, because stock prices are randomly and only driven by relevant news. The adjustment to the news is quickly. This is the theoretical argumentation of the Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH), which will be evaluated in this paper. The author gives an overview about the EMH by explaining the basic principles and its mathematical formulation. The practical part evaluated the EMH on selected examples, where the theory could only be partly approved.

"There are different ways to explaining economic growth in China. In this thesis, the author uses patent statistics in order to demonstrate how China generates its tremendously high and stable growth rates. Based on the endogenous growth theory, fields of actions are identified that account for China's rising patent activities. In addition to an intensification of research and development efforts, China benefits from FDI inflows as well as from its innovation friendly policy. In the end, the described development is embedded in a paten friendly environment, which shows not only China's efforts for attracting foreign investors but also the importance of providing incentives for domestic firms. As a result, Chinese's firms become more and more innovative in certain sectors"--Executive summary.

Wicked Castle

There goes the roaring sound of the gunfire, the sharp clang of one sword clashing with another. These were some of the noises that could be heard by an observer of this war. The first Knights vs. Warriors War happened from 1977 to 1982. It ended with a victory for the Warriors. The second one started in 1992 and ended in 1996. While this war took the lives of about five thousand innocent people, out of them all, these four were the most noteworthy: Gwyneth and Oliver Hardly and Helene and Richard Wood...
