Die bewährte Fallsammlung wurde für diese Neuauflage vollständig überarbeitet und aktualisiert. Gesetzesänderungen und wichtige Entscheidungen des Bundesgerichtshofs und des Bundesarbeitsgerichts wurden eingearbeitet. Das am 1. Januar 2024 in Kraft tretende MoPeG wurde in mehreren Fällen eingebunden. Behandelt werden insbesondere die Rechtsgebiete Bürgerliches Recht, Handels- und Wirtschaftsrecht, Wettbewerbs- und Markenrecht sowie das Arbeitsrecht. Die Fallsammlung verfolgt zwei Ziele. Anhand eines einheitlichen Aufbaus wird dem Leser zum einen die Technik der Falllösung anschaulich vermittelt. Zum anderen führt eine nach didaktischen Gesichtspunkten getroffene Auswahl in die systematischen Zusammenhänge der prüfungsrelevanten Rechtsgebiete ein. Die Sachverhalte sind aus dem "täglichen Wirtschaftsleben" gegriffen und orientieren sich an grundlegenden Entscheidungen. Um der zunehmenden Globalisierung der Wirtschaft Rechnung zu tragen, sind inzwischen auch Fälle aus dem internationalen Recht aufgenommen worden.
