The Earth orientation parameters (EOP) are determined by space geodetic techniques with very high accuracy. However, the accuracy of their prediction, even for a few days in the future, is several times lower and still unsatisfactory for practical use. The main problem of each prediction technique is to predict simultaneously long and short period oscillations of the EOP. It has been shown that the combination of the prediction methods which are different for deterministic and stochastic components of the EOP can provide the best accuracy of prediction. Several prediction techniques, e.g. combination of the least-squares with autoregressive and autocovariance methods as well as combination of wavelet transform decomposition and autocovariance prediction, were used to predict x, y pole coordinates in polar coordinate system and U T 1 - U T C or length of day ([Greek letter delta] data. Different prediction algorithms were compared considering the difference between the EOP data and their predictions at different starting prediction epochs as well as by comparing the mean EOP prediction errors.

Enemy – Stranger – Neighbour: The Image of the Other in Moche Culture

'Enemy – Stranger – Neighbour: The Image of the Other in Moche Culture' is dedicated to artistic renderings of the Recuay people in Moche art, in all available and preserved media. This study offers an analysis of several dozen complex, painted and bas-relief scenes and several hundred mould-pressed, sculpted depictions of foreigners in Moche art.

If Indo-Europeans survive contemporary global crisis?

  • Categories: Art

The cosmos, and with it the solar system, through its physical interaction, shapes the fate of the inhabitants of the Earth and their civilization. I have described this in my publications available on OPEN ACCESS on the Internet, and in the following book, I confirm it once again. Physico-chemical processes (including climatic processes) of our planet's environment are controlled by the closer and further influence of the space environment. The changing physicochemical environments (including climate changes) of our planet influencing biological creatures to shape the evolving culture of human civilizations. The defective view of the world promoted in the era of exposing the biological of t...
