This Guide is produced on behalf of the European Science Foundation Asia Committee. The Guide provides a comprehensive survey of researchers, institutes, university departments, museums, organisations, and newsletters in the field of Asian Studies in Europe. The 352 page Guide is published by the International Institute for Asian Studies in co-operation with Curzon. This is the first such guide ever published, and contains highly detailed current information including specialisation by subject and region for each entry. The Guide contains an alphabetical list of 5,000 European Asianists; 1,200 institutes and university departments; 300 museums, organisations, and newsletters.
Perspectives on Music, Sound and Musicology
This book gathers a set of works highlighting significant advances in the areas of music and sound. They report on innovative music technologies, acoustics, findings in musicology, new perspectives and techniques for composition, sound design and sound synthesis, and methods for music education and therapy. Further, they cover interesting topics at the intersection between music and computing, design and social sciences. Chapters are based on extended and revised versions of the best papers presented during the 6th and 7th editions of EIMAD–Meeting of Research in Music, Arts and Design, held in 2020 and 2021, respectively, at the School of Applied Arts in Castelo Branco, Portugal. All in all, this book provides music researchers, educators and professionals with authoritative information about new trends and techniques, and a source of inspiration for future research, practical developments, and for establishing collaboration between experts from different fields.

The topics covered range from the history of fourteenth- and fifteenth-century Portuguese synods to the material culture of late fifteenth century Portuguese nobility, epistolary perspectives on Portuguese interaction with Italy and with the Roman Curia in the fifteenth century, the use and benefits of seafood in early Portuguese settlements in Brazil, a legal overview of the administrative frameworks for Portuguese road-building in the early twentieth century, and the comparative use of econometric indices of development to modelling Portuguese data. The issue also contains shorter pieces by Douglas L. Wheeler and Michel Cahen.

Annually published since 1930, the International bibliography of Historical Sciences (IBOHS) is an international bibliography of the most important historical monographs and periodical articles published throughout the world, which deal with history from the earliest to the most recent times. The works are arranged systematically according to period, region or historical discipline, and within this classification alphabetically. The bibliography contains a geographical index and indexes of persons and authors.
