Contribution à la caractérisation des objectifs de l'initiation aux sciences et techniques
Les @tentatives de rénovation ou d'introduction de l'initiation aux sciences et techniques dans les collèges et les écoles primaires ne se limitent pas à rédiger des programmes. Il faut imaginer et élaborer de manière très détaillée les contenus et les méthodes d'enseignement, les activités dans la classe, les capacités que les élèves devront atteindre. A partir de notre expérience dans le domaine des activités d'éveil scientifiques et de l'initiation aux sciences physiques, notre étude porte sur trois cas d'innovation : une initiation aux techniques de fabrication mécaniques en 4ème, la notion d'élément chimique en 5ème, la dureté des matériaux en 6ème. Le but est de dégager quelques propositions générales pour améliorer la manière dont on peut caractériser les objectifs de l'enseignement afin de les rendre utilisables par les professeurs. Une évaluation de ces propositions est effectuée dans le cadre de l'essai d'initiation aux techniques de fabrication.

Tectonic Evolution, Collision, and Seismicity of Southwest Asia
Southwest Asia is one of the most remarkable regions on Earth in terms of active faulting and folding, large-magnitude earthquakes, volcanic landscapes, petroliferous foreland basins, historical civilizations as well as geologic outcrops that display the protracted and complex 540 m.y. stratigraphic record of Earth's Phanerozoic Era. Emerged from the birth and demise of the Paleo-Tethys and Neo-Tethys oceans, southwest Asia is currently the locus of ongoing tectonic collision between the Eurasia-Arabia continental plates. The region is characterized by the high plateaus of Iran and Anatolia fringed by the lofty ranges of Zagros, Alborz, Caucasus, Taurus, and Pontic mountains; the region also includes the strategic marine domains of the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, Caspian, and Mediterranean.
