The three volume set LNCS 8834, LNCS 8835, and LNCS 8836 constitutes the proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Neural Information Processing, ICONIP 2014, held in Kuching, Malaysia, in November 2014. The 231 full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 375 submissions. The selected papers cover major topics of theoretical research, empirical study, and applications of neural information processing research. Intelligent Robotics and Applications
This two volume set LNAI 8917 and 8918 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Intelligent Robotics and Applications, ICIRA 2014, held in Guangzhou, China, in December 2014. The 109 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 159 submissions. The papers aim at enhancing the sharing of individual experiences and expertise in intelligent robotics with particular emphasis on technical challenges associated with varied applications such as biomedical applications, industrial automations, surveillance, and sustainable mobility.
Treatise on Cold Injury
The Shang Han Lun (simplified Chinese: 伤寒论; traditional Chinese: 傷寒論; pinyin: Shānghán lùn) known in English as the Treatise on Cold Damage Disorders or the Treatise on Cold Injury, is a Chinese medical treatise that was compiled by Zhang Zhongjing sometime before the year 220, at the end of the Han dynasty. It is amongst the oldest complete clinical textbooks in the world, and one of the four canonical works that students must study in traditional Chinese medical education today. The current edition is in ten volumes including the first to chapters on pulse diagnosis. The Shang Han Lun has 398 sections with 113 herbal prescriptions, organised into the Six Divisions corresponding to six stages of disease.

The three volume set LNCS 8226, LNCS 8227 and LNCS 8228 constitutes the proceedings of the 20th International Conference on Neural Information Processing, ICONIP 2013, held in Daegu, Korea, in November 2013. The 180 full and 75 poster papers presented together with 4 extended abstracts were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. These papers cover all major topics of theoretical research, empirical study and applications of neural information processing research. The specific topics covered are as follows: cognitive science and artificial intelligence; learning theory, algorithms and architectures; computational neuroscience and brain imaging; vision, speech and signal processing; control, robotics and hardware technologies and novel approaches and applications.
Toward a History Beyond Borders

TCM Case Studies: Pain Management
In the practice of TCM, there is no complaint more common than pain. Chinese Acupuncture
Soulie de Morant's masterpiece is the most detailed study of acupuncture available in a Western language. It was nominated for a Nobel prize and provided the foundation for French acupuncture. Xuanyuan auricular acupuncture and clinical applications
This book introduces the complete Xuanyuan auricular Jingluo system and the 50-meridian differentiation pattern. This pattern enables practitioners to differentiate, and then utilize, 50 meridians in their clinical practice, augmenting the 14-meridian pattern that has been used since the Yuan dynasty. Throughout the book, the author has created the images of the Xuanyuan auricular Jingluo system, illustrating the origin of meridians in the ear, the direction of the energy flow of meridians, and the connection between the ear and macro (body) meridians. Included are images of the big Collateral of the Spleen, the Jiaji Mai, the Chong Mai, and the Collaterals of Du Mai, Ying-qi, and Wei-qi, which have never before been delineated. In summary, this book represents an innovative development in Traditional Chinese Medicine and in the Jingluo system as outlined in the classic texts of the Nei Jing and Nan Jing.
