The proceeding is a collection of research papers presented at the 2nd International Colloquium on Sports Science, Exercise, Engineering and Technology (ICoSSEET2015), a conference dedicated to address the challenges in the areas of sports science, exercise, sports engineering and technology including other areas of sports, thereby presenting a consolidated view to the interested researchers in the aforesaid fields. The goal of this conference was to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to focus on the scope of the conference and establishing new collaborations in these areas. Islam, Politics and Youth in Malaysia
Providing an ethnographic account of the Islamic Party of Malaysia (PAS) and its Youth Wing (Dewan Pemuda PAS), this book analyses the genesis and role of Islamic movements in terms of their engagement in mainstream politics. It explores the party’s changing approach towards popular culture and critically investigates whether the narrative of a post-Islamist turn can be applied to the PAS Youth. Fonetik dan fonologi
Fonetik dan Fonologi ini menyajikan deskripsi dan perbincangan saintifik tentang sistem bunyi bahasa Melayu. Pembaikan ditambah pada aspek prosodi, intonasi, analisis spektografi, dan pendeskripsian bunyi-bunyi bahasa. Buku ini meneliti korpus bahasa Melayu bagi melihat aspek-aspek yang belum dikaji melalui fonetik eksperimental seperti intonasi, kesantunan, dan analisis spektografi. Ia memperkenalkan kajian fonetik eksperimental kepada para pelajar dan pensyarah fonetik dan fonologi bahasa Melayu. Antara perkara yang disampaikan dalam buku ini adalah dapatan eksperimen mengenai intonasi ayat dasar, segmentasi unit maklumat, makna emosi, serta hubungan maknanya dan dapatan analisis spektografi bagi bunyi-bunyi bahasa dalam bahasa Melayu. Oleh sebab itu buku ini mesti dimiliki oleh pelajar dan pensyarah bidang linguistik Melayu.

The Phonetics of Malay
Malay is one of the major languages in the world, but there has been relatively little detailed research on its phonetics. This Element provides an overview of existing descriptions of the pronunciation of Standard Malay before briefly considering the pronunciation of some dialects of Malay. It then introduces materials that may be used for studying the phonetics of Malay: a short text, the NWS passage; and a map-task, to generate conversational data. Based on recordings using these materials by two female and two male consultants who are academics at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, the Element next offers an acoustic analysis of the consonants and vowels of Malay, the syllable structure arising from fast speech processes, as well as the rhythm and intonation of the Standard Malay that is spoken in Brunei. Finally, it suggests directions for further research on the phonetics of Malay.

Public awareness, the role of universities and the government are needed in the recording and archiving of the local culture.
