We have stepped into the third decade of the 21st Century, where technological advancements have left no stone unturned. The Social Sciences have taken a leap in transforming the societal attitudes, priorities, opinions and mentalities. Yet people still hold prejudicial attitudes toward others, they tend to view everyone who fits into a certain group as being "all the same." They paint every individual who holds particular characteristics or beliefs with a very broad brush and fail to really look at each person as a unique individual. With the ease in process of communication through the advent of social media; it has taken this tendency of humans in making pre-conceived opinions and prejudices on new heights. Our ulterior motive here is to beget the readers how this social phenomenon which more likely can also be called as a “social disease” plants the saplings of negativity in the society. The Architects of Prejudice is a book consisting of authors from different walks of life who have inked their words and articles which will facilitate the readers to comprehend how are we humans building the empires of prejudices that endanger the humanity.

This PhD thesis aims to advance objective assessments of anxiety to address the drawbacks of current clinical assessments. It uses multiple methods, including semi-structured interviews, lab-based data collection, signal analysis techniques, and multimodal-multisensor analytics. In total, 147 subjects participated in qualitative and quantitative data collection studies. Its results detected high-anxious vs. low-anxious individuals, conceptualized four anxiety phases, and detected all those phases in 65% of high-anxious individuals by fusing three physiological and behavioral features; a 30% improvement compared to the best unimodal feature.
