Todo iso co fin de contribuír á creación dunha imaxe máis humana da loita guerrilleira antifranquista, unha imaxe tamén máis equilibrada. Buscábase reflectir algúns datos histórico-biográficos dos personaxes máis relevantes, as escasas biografías daqueles guerrilleiros que poboaron unha historia que se estendeu desde 1936 ata o ano 1965. Eran protagonistas que caían baixo as balas dos seus perseguidores, a implacable Garda Civil, no transcurso daqueles anos tumultuosos. Foi unha época de feroz enfrontamento entre uns poucos individuos que ansiaban recuperar a democracia republicana, a liberdade persoal e política, defendendo a súa propia supervivencia; e aqueles que sostiñan a ditadura de Francisco Franco, nun estado carente de Dereito e clemencia. En resumo, foi unha historia poboada por individuos que exerceron unha obstinada vontade para subverter a orde dominante, a orde do totalitarismo da Ditadura que asolou a democracia republicana.
