The Membracidae are a relatively diverse group with nearly 400 genera and 3200 species. For Colombia 93 genera and 394 species were previously known. Study of the literature and 3744 specimens deposited in ten colections in Colombia, as well as non-systematic collections and field observations done in Colombia between 2011 and 2014, led us to record 116 genera and 474 species grouped in 9 subfamilies and 23 tribes, distributed in 24 departments. Estos años nos sirvieron para trazar el mejor camino para llegar a la cima de la calidad y poder ocupar con orgullo la primera posición de los programas de Administración de empresas del país. Todo, gracias a la orientación de nuestros fundadores Y al sabio consejo del cuerpo directivo. No menos estaba comprometido nuestro excelente cuerpo de profesores y administración; todos al servicio de nuestros queridos estudiantes a quienes tanto debemos por el corino demostrado al CESA y su dedicación para formarse como verdaderos Líderes. Gracias a su actitud el trabajo en el CESA fue gratificante y pleno de orgullo. Hoy el gran nombre de nuestra institución se lo debemos a este gran equipo de personas comprometidas con Colombia. Bodies in Resistance
As part of the emerging new research on civic innovation, this book explores how sexual politics and gender relations play out in feminist struggles around body politics in Brazil, Colombia, India, Iran, Mexico, Nepal, Turkey, Nicaragua, as well as in East Africa, Latin America and global institutions and networks. From diverse disciplinary perspectives, the book looks at how feminists are engaged in a complex struggle for democratic power in a neoliberal age and at how resistance is integral to possibilities for change. In making visible resistances to dominant economic and social policies, the book highlights how such struggles are both gendered and gendering bodies. The chapters explore struggles for healthy environments, sexual health and reproductive rights, access to abortion, an end to gender-based violence, the human rights of LGBTIQA persons, the recognition of indigenous territories and all peoples’ rights to care, love and work freely. The book sets out the violence, hopes, contradictions and ways forward in these civic innovations, resistances and connections across the globe.
