Forests for Public Health

Nachhaltige Entwicklung
Das Buch gibt eine Einführung in das Leitbild der Nachhaltigen Entwicklung. Es erörtert die theoretischen Grundlagen schwacher und starker Nachhaltigkeit sowie die drei Nachhaltigkeitsdimensionen Ökologie, Ökonomie und Soziales. Darauf aufbauend befasst es sich u. a. mit der Bedeutung von Innovationen, technischem Fortschritt, Ökoeffizienz und einer Ressourcenstrategie für Nachhaltige Entwicklung. Verschiedene Konzepte für die Messung und Bewertung Nachhaltiger Entwicklung verdeutlichen die unterschiedlichen Möglichkeiten einer Quantifizierung. Weiterhin wird die Umsetzung von Nachhaltigkeitsstrategien auf nationaler und regionaler Ebene behandelt und ein Konzept für eine nachhaltigkeitsorientierte Fördermittelvergabe vorgestellt. Für eine systematische Zusammenführung der drei Nachhaltigkeitsdimensionen wird im Lehrbuch das Integrierende Nachhaltigkeitsdreieck entwickelt und angewendet.
