Bien des problèmes politiques actuels comme l’aménagement du territoire, la sécurité urbaine, la grande pauvreté sont dits « pernicieux ». L’école gagnerait à les prendre en compte dans son éducation au politique. L’ouvrage étudie la tradition anglo-saxonne des wicked problems (les problèmes pernicieux), et les envisage dans leurs cinq dimensions : polysémie, conflictualité, complexité, spatio-temporalité critique et absence de véritable solution.
