NURAIEERAL NOIGALIL SIDDHA MARUTHUVATHIN PANGU

Siddha medicine is based on three principles i.e., vaatha, pittha and kaba. Respiratory diseases are occurred due to the derangement of kaba. This book describes about herbs that normalises the altered kaba and also herbs that increases or produces kaba. Besides, the usage of the herbals in various forms such as steam inhalation (vaedhu), Poultice (pattru), nasal application (nasiyam), decoction (kudineer), which are used in Siddha medicine for respiratory ailments like common cold, rhinitis, cough, asthma etc., are explained in this book. Herbal preparations mentioned in this book are simple and easy to use. The remedies mentioned in this book should be utilized on the advice of registered Siddha practitioner only.

The Angry Ones

The powerful and prophetic story of a talented young African American and his struggles to overcome deep-rooted racism and intolerance in post–World War II America Ambitious and well-educated, US Army officer Steve Hill leaves California for the East Coast and his slice of the American Dream when he takes a job as publicity director at a vanity press. But mid-twentieth-century New York City harbors its own particular brand of prejudice, more secretive but just as pervasive and destructive as the racism of the Jim Crow South. Even in the liberal, superficially hip circles of the publishing world, invisible boundaries and unspoken rules determine how high Hill can dare to reach—and whom he...

The Finite Element Method (FEM) has become an indispensable technology for the modelling and simulation of engineering systems. Written for engineers and students alike, the aim of the book is to provide the necessary theories and techniques of the FEM for readers to be able to use a commercial FEM package to solve primarily linear problems in mechanical and civil engineering with the main focus on structural mechanics and heat transfer. Fundamental theories are introduced in a straightforward way, and state-of-the-art techniques for designing and analyzing engineering systems, including microstructural systems are explained in detail. Case studies are used to demonstrate these theories, methods, techniques and practical applications, and numerous diagrams and tables are used throughout. The case studies and examples use the commercial software package ABAQUS, but the techniques explained are equally applicable for readers using other applications including NASTRAN, ANSYS, MARC, etc. A practical and accessible guide to this complex, yet important subject Covers modeling techniques that predict how components will operate and tolerate loads, stresses and strains in reality

Modelling and Simulation of Diffusive Processes

This book addresses the key issues in the modeling and simulation of diffusive processes from a wide spectrum of different applications across a broad range of disciplines. Features: discusses diffusion and molecular transport in living cells and suspended sediment in open channels; examines the modeling of peristaltic transport of nanofluids, and isotachophoretic separation of ionic samples in microfluidics; reviews thermal characterization of non-homogeneous media and scale-dependent porous dispersion resulting from velocity fluctuations; describes the modeling of nitrogen fate and transport at the sediment-water interface and groundwater flow in unconfined aquifers; investigates two-dimensional solute transport from a varying pulse type point source and futile cycles in metabolic flux modeling; studies contaminant concentration prediction along unsteady groundwater flow and modeling synovial fluid flow in human joints; explores the modeling of soil organic carbon and crop growth simulation.
