Onna Daigaku, a half-dogmatised precept exclusively intended for women, was written by Kaibara Ekken, the most famous moralist of Japan. It was the most popular of his works and remained so for nearly two centuries. The Dao Companion to Japanese Confucian Philosophy will be part of the handbook series Dao Companion to Chinese Philosophy, published by Springer.
