A primeira parte trata das variáveis que identificamos como componentes das forças que se conjugaram na migração dos posseiros para aquela parte do "sertão". A segunda parte procura compreender o processo de ocupação no contexto da consolidação da estrutura fundiária de Goiás. A terceira e última parte analisa os conflitos decorrentes da situação de fronteira que se instalou no território, se arrastou por décadas e produziu determinada configuração espacial no Brasil Central.
