Jonathan Swift has had a profound impact on almost all the national literatures of Continental Europe. Ronald Fangen
In 1934 Frank Buchman's Oxford Group movement, a precursor to AA (Alcoholics Anonymous), was invited to Norway. It made a deep impression upon Ronald Fangen, a young novelist and dramatist. Thereafter, as a Christian humanist, he attempted to persuade the Church to appreciate and learn from the Arts since such efforts would support the proclamation of its message.
