The Shame of It
We have long recognized that poverty carries a tremendous feeling of shame. However, few have let this overwhelming fact actually influence the making and implementation of anti-poverty policies. The Shame of It demonstrates that in order for anti-poverty policies to be truly effective, they must take into account the psychological trauma that poverty creates.
